Olive oil: a natural anti-aging remedy

Skin aging and time passage’s signs have always been one of the problems to which women, but not only, seek solutions. Rich in fatty acids and squalene, olive oil nourishes the skin, making it elastic and soft, fighting the formation of free radicals. Phytosterols and linolenic acid of which it is rich act deeply on stretch marks and wrinkles, giving a relaxed and plump effect. Olive oil can be used also by the most delicate skin in the morning and in the evening, and in targeted treatments around the eyes and lips, on expression lines, on face, neck and décolleté’ skin. Olive oil, how to use it against wrinkles

There are many ways to use olive oil against skin aging and first wrinkles appearance.

Easy to find, olive oil is perfect as an ingredient to use against the first cold weathers and dryness to which mature skin is more subjected to. By combining it with honey, it’s possible to create a dense emulsion to apply on the face and leave it to act for about half an hour, finally removing the excess with a soft cotton pad. If face’s health is important, we mustn’t forget hands and nails, subjected every day to frequent washing and contact with soaps and detergents that can be aggressive and damage the skin’s hydrolipidic film. For a quick DIY remedy, you can vigorously emulsify a teaspoon of lemon juice and a tablespoon of olive oil. Then apply it on hands and nails and leave to act for about 20 minutes, rinsing with water and a delicate soap. For a quick DIY remedy, you can mix 5 tablespoons of coconut flour, a teaspoon of brown sugar and 5 tablespoons of olive oil. Massage the mixture onto damp skin and rinse.
